Booking Vaccinations in Scotland
COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters are provided by the NHS to all residents in Scotland. You are strongly advised to get vaccinated. This includes a booster shot, which you are eligible for after receiving two earlier doses of a vaccination. There are two ways to register for a COVID-19 vaccination in Scotland:
- If you are registered with a GP practice and have not yet received your first dose, you can register for a dose of your COVID-19 vaccination through the online self-registration portal. You will be asked to provide details such as your name, address, contact details, and your Community Health Index (CHI) number.
- If you are not yet registered with a GP practice and don’t yet have a Community Health Index (CHI) number, you should phone the national vaccination helpline on 0800 030 8013 and they will ensure you are registered for a vaccination.
You can also attend a vaccine drop-in clinic to receive a Covid-19 vaccinations. This is recommended for those that are not yet able to register with a GP or are having trouble with booking an appointment. Visit this NHS website to find a vaccine drop-in clinic in your area.
